FAQ

Q. How often should I see a dentist?

A. The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends that most patients visit a dentist every six months for a routine check-up, professional cleaning and oral cancer screening. For some patients, more frequent visits are needed to maintain optimal oral health.

Q. Why do I need X-rays?

A. Dental X-rays (radiographs) are an important diagnostic tool used by your dental providers. Simply looking at your teeth does not tell the whole story. Radiographs are needed to properly identify and diagnose disease, allowing you to receive the best care possible.

Q. Do you accept insurance?

A. Yes, we are happy to submit all insurance claims on your behalf to help you maximize your benefits. Our office is a preferred provider for Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Q. Your office is out of network with my insurance carrier. Can I still be a patient and receive insurance coverage?

A. Yes. While your individual insurance plan will dictate the amount of coverage you receive, we will gladly submit claims and receive payments from any insurance carrier, even those for whom we are out of network or with whom we do not participate.

Q. What if I have an emergency?

A. A doctor is on call for our practice at all times. If you are experiencing a true dental emergency please visit our Emergency Info page or call our office at (585) 889-2559.
